Police trail suspected ritualists in Ondo community

The police in Ondo State are on the trail of suspected ritualists, who allegedly attacked a young boy for ritual purpose in lkare-Akoko, Akoko North-West Local Government Area of the state.

The police are combing various bushes and forests in the area to locate hideouts of the suspected ritualists.

The young boy, suspected to be mentally challenged, allegedly escaped from the suspected ritualists at Jubilee area of lkare-Akoko by dint of hard luck.

He was found lying down opposite Lennon Jubilee High School, Ikare-Akoko, where he was abandoned with machete cuts.

This forced many shop owners in the Jubilee and Idimango areas of the town to close their shops for fear of arrest.

The Police in Ikare-Akoko discovered the young boy reeling in pain and quickly rushed him to an undisclosed hospital for emergency treatment to safe his life.

Two mentally challenged females were killed last year along Ilepa road in Ikare-Akoko, while their private parts were removed by suspected ritualists.
