Mr Olumide Akinrinlola, the media aide of the senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District at the Senate, Nicholas Tofowomo, who was involved in an accident, said his boss is responding to treatment at the hospital
He added that the Senator is in a stable condition
According to him, the senator and his companions were returning from Ibadan, Oyo State capital, where they attended a political programme organised by the state governor, Mr Seyi Makinde, when their vehicle had a head-on collision with a vehicle coming from the opposite direction
He said, “I want to say that there is no cause for alarm, the senator is in good condition, I just spoke with him (on Saturday evening), he is responding to treatment and I am very sure he would soon be discharged from hospital.
Tofowomo, a Peoples Democratic Party, escaped death as his vehicle was involved in a road accident on Ilesa-Akure Expressway in Igbara Oke on Friday
A PDP governorship aspirant, Mr. Banji Okunomo and two other members of the were also involved in the ill fated crash
It was gathered that nobody died in the accident but the senator and other victims were injured.
The Sector Commander of the Ondo State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr Rotimi Adeleye has visited the senator and other victims at the hospital
