Incessant robbery attacks: AAUA students cry out ….Want security beefed up in houses off campus

Students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko in Ondo state who reside in houses located at off campus have cried out over high level of insecurity.

They have therefore called on security agents and the management of the institution to come to their rescue

The President of the Students’ Union Government (SUG), AAUA Branch, Adesomoju Samuel in an interview with The News Track said incessant attacks in off campus hostels are becoming extremely dangerous

Samuel said the attacks are giving students’ Union government of the institution serious concern saying, “We call on security operatives to guarantee the safety of our students or else we students will RISE.”

The students in a letter addressed to the Ondo state police command, called for urgent action. against insecurity in Akungba township in the interest of the students living off campus.

IPublic Relations officer of AAUA, Mr Victor Akinpelumi, said the school’s management in conjunction with security operatives had been working round the clock to protect students residing outside the campus.

“The AAUA management received the report of armed robbery attack on its students that are living off campus, precisely in “Medoline” and “Cele” areas of Akungba Akoko.”

Akinpelumi said, “the University, had since, taken some bold steps to put a stop to the incessant armed robbery attacks on its students that are living in these areas.”
