At a news conference held at the NUJ Press Centre, Akure, the Project Director of the AfricanStride International (Media) Limited, Mr Henry Oluseye Adesola said a six month research conducted showed that governor Akeredolu deserved the Maiden Award..
The award is an initiative of the AfricanStride International (Media) Limited, a foremost and fast-rising public relations and media organization.
The company is registered in Nigeria, in partnership with the Centre for Research and African Development Studies (CERADS), a pan-African, non-governmental, pro-democracy organization.
It is committed to propelling Africas development through advocacy, research, promotional engagements and networking as well as a host of other development and support civil society partners.
Adesola noted that Governor Akeredolu’s administration has justified its promises and the mandate of the people stressing that “Governor Akeredolu has shown capacity to challenge ugly trends of underdevelopments through commitment to selfless service”.
Some of the achievements of the governor, according Adesola are
massive infrastructure development and prompt payment of salary .
Adesola said the award ceremony would hold later this year in Abuja with the Nigeria 20th Anniversary of 4th Republic Lecture as the twin event.”
His words, “In Ondo State, it was a grimmer prospect that enveloped the skyline more than two years ago. The number of out of school children was growing at an alarming rate; hunger was on the rampage as the state workers had been owed more than seven months salaries, schools were in tatters and there were embarrassing degrees of paucity of infrastructures and a generally disoriented youth and women population.”
