An Abuja-bound Arik flight with the Deputy Governor of Osun State, Benedict Gboyega Alabi and over 120 other passengers on board has made an emergency landing in Lagos.
The flight which left Ibadan at 5.08pm was to make a stop over in Ilorin before heading to Abuja.
It could not however land after two failed attempts due to rainy weather and poor visibility.
The pilot who made several manovers decided to contact the Murtala Mohammed International Airport for the emergency landing where the second runway was reportedly used.
It was shout of praise and worship when the aircraft was able to land in Lagos after over one of turbulence mid air.
The aircraft which was running out of fuel has refilled on ground in Lagos.
The airline however says the flight will still proceed to Ilorin this night when there are signals that the weather has improved
