We didn’t sponsor campaign group, says Ondo APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state has distanced itself from a campaign gathering on Thursday in Akure “tagged, OSINBAJO 2023”

The party said it has no link whatsoever with the said group

The party in a statement issued by its Publicity Secretary, Alex Kalejaye, said the action of the group was a huge embarrassment to the leadership of the party in the State.

The party  appealed to desperate politicians and attention-seekers to encourage the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, who was sworn in only a few months ago, to concentrate on the tasks and responsibilities attached to his office.

The  statement reads, “The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has been drawn to an allegation that the chapter was involved in a campaign gathering on Thursday in Akure. The campaign was tagged, OSINBAJO 2023.

“For the records, the group that could best be described as a Non Governmental body,, and looked a bit unorganized, only stormed the State secretariat of the party unannounced with their banners and several write-ups.

“The party notes with deep concerns that a politically  sophisticated state like ours should know better than engaging in campaigns for an election prematurely”
