Omoyele Sowore, the publisher of Sahara Reporters who was recently granted bail is in for another legal battle as the Nigerian government is planning to arraign him before a Federal High Court on Monday.
Sowore who is also the convener of #RevolutionNow protests will be arraigned on seven counts of treasonable felony, money laundering and cybercrimes.
The suit was instituted against him by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation.
The Department of State Service has been detaining Sowore despite the fact that he was granted bail six days ago.
This is in violation of the court order granting him bail.
Justice Taiwo Taiwo had on September 24, granted him bail and despite meeting the bail condition on September 25, Sowore has not been released by the DSS.
The new case instituted against Sowore was not assigned to Justice Taiwo Taiwo, but to Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu, who has subsequently fixed Monday for arraignment.
