Members of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP), Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, branch have called for the immediate removal of the chairman of the governing council of the institution, Banji Alabi.
At a news conference in Akure, Chairman ASUP, RUGIPO, Dare Ijawoye, said the removal of the governing council chairman would bring peace to the institution.
He also called on the state government to pay forthwith the outstanding 5 months salary arrears owed ASUP members.
The union also urged government to find out the real age of the acting rector, Mr. Gani Ogundahunsi who is well above 65 years
