The management of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO) on Tuesday dismissed the Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, RUGIPO chapter, Comrade Oluwadare Ijawoye and his Secretary, Comrade Ade Arikawe for alleged gross misconducts.
The leadership of ASUP had accused Principal officers and the Chairman of the governing Council, Mr Banji Alabi of corruption.
The union also accused the management of misappropriating the institution’s funds.
In a Circular issued by the Management, the two unionists have been sacked while ASUP has been suspended from the polytechnic.
