The policeman who shot dead a truck driver on Monday at Uso town in Owo Local Government Area of the State, has allegedly escaped.
He is yet to be arrested by the force two days after he carried out the dastardly act
The killer police cop, identified as Sergeant Idowu Omosuyi, it was gathered fled the scene of the incident immediately after he committed the crime.
Omosuyi, attached to the Federal Highway Patrol, allegedly shot the truck driver, Ado Saleh at a checkpoint on Akure-Owo Highway, at Uso town following an argument .
The unfortunate incident triggered a protest by other truck drivers and the residents of the town.
They barricaded the expressway for several hours.
Spokesperson of the state police command confirmed the development.
