Nineteen senior police officers recently promoted in Ondo state by the police authorities have been decorated with their new ranks.
Two of the officers were elevated From Chief Superintendent of Police to Assistant Commissioner of Police(ACP) while 17 officers were promoted from Superintendent of Police(SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police(CSP).
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Undie Adie who decorated the officers on Friday in Akure charged them to see the new ranks as more responsibilities in their duties.
Spokesperson of the Ondo state police command, Mr Femi Joseph is one of the newly promoted senior officers.
He was promoted from Superintendent of Police(SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police(CSP) .
He appreciated the inspector General of Police (IG) and police service commission for counting him and other colleagues worthy for the new ranks.
Joseph said that the promotion would serve as a catalyst for him to be more dedicated to duty.
“I want to say that my colleagues and I will continue to put in our best and ensure that will serve the people better”, Joseph added.
