The immediate past Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo and many politicians from different political parties in the state, have defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Oluboyo led his supporters to a mega rally in Akure, organised by the APC in the State, as part of activities marking Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s third year in office.
This rally attracted members of the All Progressives Congress, APC from the eighteen local government areas of Ondo State.
It was one of the programmes lined up to mark Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s three years in office.
Democracy Park in Akure, venue of the rally, was flooded by party supporters and chieftains.
One of the defectors is the immediate past Deputy Governor of the State, Lasisi Oluboyo.
Many political bigwigs from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Zenith Labour Party and the African Democratic Congress, ADC, pitched their tents with the APC in the state.
Many APC members, including Governor Akeredolu were on hand to welcome the defectors.
The rally also gave party members opportunity to interact and stress the need for unity in the party.
