Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo state narrowly escaped death as angry youths of Ohaji Egbema attacked his convoy on Sunday.
The Governor was said to have visited the community for a function when his vehicle was attacked by some youths of the community with dangerous weapons.
The angry mob upon sighting the governor convoy, started shouting ‘Not our Governor’ ‘Thief’ trowing bottles, stones at his bullet proof SUV jeep.
The security men attached to the governor fired bullets into the air to disperse the angry youths, while the governor was whisked away from the scene.
The windshield of the SUV was badly damaged by the restive youths.
