Fear grips residents of Ijoka area of Akure over Coronavirus


Palpable fear has continued to grip residents of Ijoka area in Akure, the capital city of Ondo state following the discovery of a Coronavirus patient in the community.


Already, four persons, who the victim had contact with, have been placed on isolation.
Those placed on isolation are  the victim’s wife and children.


The patient who is a staff of Muritala Muhammad Airport is the second index case in Ondo state.


Recall that a military officer who recently returned from India is the first COVID- 19 case recorded in the state.


But many residents of Ijoka are panicky because the victim must have spread the disease before it was detected
