TVC, AIT reporters, others go into isolation for covering Kyari’s burial
About twenty journalists who covered the burial ceremony of Abba Kyari, the late Chief of staff to President Muhammudu Buhari have embarked on a fourteen day isolation period.
Among the journalists who have proceeded on isolation are Femi Akande of TVC News, Yemi Adebayo of AIT, personal photographer of President Buhari, Bayo Omoboriowo amongst others.
The issue of non-compliance to hitherto issued social distancing directive by the Ministry of Health and the Nigeria Centre for Diseases Control (NCDC) had trailed the prayers and interment sessions for the late Kyari.
Recall that the incident led to the refusal of State House security to grant access to top Presidential aides who had returned to the Villa after the ceremonies.
The remains of the late Mallam Kyari were laid to rest at the Gudu Cemetery in Abuja on Saturday, an event that received wide media coverage.
