Ondo State Government is set to meet with religious leaders and other stakeholders within the state to explore ways of returning relaxing ban placed religious gathering, as one of the measures to curtail the spread of the COVID19 pandemic.
Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu disclosed this while addressing reporters at the government house Ground.
He said government would meet with church leaders and other stakeholders on the need to ensure worship centers are reopened.
Akeredolu had placed ban on public gatherings shortly after the outbreak of the pandemic.
Governor Akeredolu added that all containment regulations earlier pronounced by Ondo State Government are geared towards curbing the spread of the disease.
He advised residents of the state not to jeopardise their health through self-medication against Coronavirus.
The governor noted that the greatest concern still remains the interstate importation and community transmission of this deadly infection.
He also implored the Police and the Governor’s Task Force to fully implement Government’s directives on markets’ regulations.
