Prominent PDP chieftain decamps to APC in Ondo


 A  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  Chieftain, Engineer Abiola Oladapo, on Tuesday officially decamped to All Progressives Congress (APC) at the party Secretariat in Akure, the state capital.


Oladapo, the House of Assembly candidate of the party in the last general elections, officially defected to AP with some leaders of the party in his Constituency II in Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State.


They were received by the Chairman of APC, Engr Ade Adetimehin, on behalf of the State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.


Adetimehin seized the opportunity to highlight some of the achievements of Akeredolu-led administration, particularly the citing of industries in the Ondo/Linyl Industrial Hub at Omotosho in Ore/Odigbo Local Government Area of the state.


He was enjoined to move round and garner support for the party and the governorship candidate of the party and deliver his constituency for the party in the forthcoming election.


The PDP House of Assembly candidate in the 2019 general elections was asked to get registered in APC in his ward and obtain his membership card.


He promised to put in his best and ensure adequate mobilization for the APC for victory in the October 10, 2020 governorship election in the state.
