Abraham, Ajasin’s daughter shun Ondo Unity Forum’s peace meeting in Abuja

Three Governorship aspirants under the platform of the unity forum boycotted a peace meeting of the group held in Abuja, the nation’s capital over the weekend.

The trio of Olusegun Abraham, Jumoke Ajasin and Akin Awodeyi Akinterinwa were conspicuously absent at the meeting convened to resolve the crisis that trailed the emergency of Olusola Oke as the group’s consensus aspirant.

No reason was adduced to their absence at the meeting.

At the meeting, it appears the aspirants have set aside their recent political differences to start restrategizing for the July 20 party’s primaries.

All the APC aspirants under the forum and the Senate Deputy Majority Leader, Prof Ajayi Boroffice (from Ondo North) met to appeal to one another to embrace peace following the aftermath of the selection of Chief Olusola Oke (SAN).

Present at the meeting were:
Mr Jimi Odimayo, Barr Olarenwaju Kazeem, Prince Dapo Adelegan, Chief Oke, Engr Ifeoluwa Oyedele, Chief Olayide Adelami, Barr Bukola Adetula and Senator Boroffice.

The chairman of the Unity Forum, Alhaji Alli Olanusi who is also a former Deputy Governor of the state was not at the meeting as he was not expected.
