Four persons have been arrested in the residence of a prominent politician for being in possession of dangerous weapons.
They were arrested on Saturday by Police detectives attached to the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) of the state police command.
The arrest, it was gathered the persons were apprehended following an intelligence gathering.
The whereabouts of the politician remained unknown after the suspects were arrested in his house.
Some of the weapons recovered from them include include four shot guns, AK 47 and other assorted guns, magazines and bullets.
. Police detectives reportedly stormed the residence located in the heart of the town and made the arrest and recovered the weapons.
