Breaking: Ondo records 61 cases in two days as government abandons contact tracing.

Ondo state  has recorded 61 cases of COVID- 19 in two days.

This has brought total cases recorded in the state to 353.

Just on Thursday, the state recorded 33 cases.

This development has continued to give stakeholders in the health sector serious concern.

Due to a surge in the COVID- 19, only people with underlying health challenges were isolated at the state infectious disease hospital, Akure.

Others were asked to isolate themselves in their various homes because of lack of space.

The News Track gathered that more cases would be recorded in July due to government failure to carry out proper contact tracing.

It was observed that  health workers no longer carry out aggressive contact tracing, a situation that will  lead to discovery of more cases in days ahead.
