Petrol stations now sell fuel for N150 per litre in Akure
Some fuel stations in Akure, Ondo State capital have started selling petrol at N150,00 per litre.
This is coming just as long queues are now the order of day in some of the filling stations in Akure this evening
For instance, some fuel stations along Oda town have increased the price of the product despite the fact that they have old stocks.
This action followed the directive given by the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) to its members to commence selling of petrol at N150 per litre.
IPMAN in a statement signed by the chairman, Kano chapter, Bashir Ahmad Danmallam, said members will comply with Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC) instruction without hesitation.
According to him, the directive was also in compliance with the government’s earlier statement that it would review upward or downward the price of the commodity on a monthly basis depending on the price in the international market.
