418 health workers have tested positive for COVID-19 in Ondo State, since outbreak of the pandemic in Nigeria in February.
The State Inter-Ministerial Committee on COVID-19 gave the information during the weekly briefing in Akure.
Ondo state has recorded 1539 confirmed cases of covid-19 within the same period.
Out of these, 30 deaths were recorded.
Health workers in the state have also had their own fair share of the pandemic.
The Chairman of the State Inter-Ministerial Committee on COVID-19, Prof Segun Fatusi l said all the affected doctors have been given clean bill of health.
According to him, there is a decline in the cases of COVID-19 in the state.
He also expressed satisfaction with compliance of churches with COVID-19 protocols.
With the October 10 Governorship election in the state fast approaching, Chairman of the Committee urged politicians to adhere strictly to the safety measures.
To ensure that health workers in the state work under safe environment, a new set of Personal Protective Equipment will be distributed to them on Thursday
