Abducted market leader, council workers regain freedom in Ondo

The Iyaoloja of Isua Akoko, Chief Mrs Hellen Edward and other Akoko south east local government officials who were kidnapped along the ever busy Akure- Owo road last Thursday have regained their freedom.


Other victims who secured their freedom  included the Chairman of Nigeria Union of Local Government employees (NULGE), Akoko southeast and Director of Budget at the council.


It was reliably gathered that five million naira ransom was paid to secure their release.


A top local government official who spoke anonymously confirmed that they were released in Owo area.
