Ladi Bala has been elected the new National President of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalist NAWOJ.
Also Adeola Adekunle of Ondo NAWOJ chapter emerges financial secretary of the association at the national level.
Adeola, a seasoned broadcaster is a staff of Adaba 88.9 fm, a privately owned radio station in Ondo State.
Her dexterity on the microphone and ability to speak Yoruba and English fluently has given her an edge in the broadcasting world.
She has carved a niche for herself in the profession with many awards in her kitty.
The election was held at the 10th triennial delegates conference, held in Minna, Niger State.
Before her election, Mrs Bala who is a staff of Nigerian Television Authority, Adamawa state and the immediate past National Secretary of the association.
She defeated Aishat Da’ aratu from Borno state.
Other exco members are Lilian ogbabu deputy vice president, secretary Helen udofia ,treasurer Fatima Rasheed.
