Unknown gunmen have kidnapped the Minority Leader of the Taraba State House of Assembly Bashir Mohammed .
He was kidnapped on Wednesday at his residence in Jalingo.
He hails from Sardauna Local Government Area.
Spokesman of the state police command, David Misal, said Bashir was abducted after sporadic gun shots were heard around his house located next to the Comprehensive Secondary School in Jalingo.
Misal said the police and sister security agencies were working to rescue the victim.
According to him, the abductors were yet to contact the family.
