The Management of Adaba 88.9 FM, a privately owned radio station based in Ondo state, has organised a special thanksgiving service to acknowledge God’s protection and guidance, as 2020 winds down.
The staff of the station gathered at the premises to acknowledge God’s goodness in their lives in the year 2020, despite the challenges of covid-19 and EndSARS saga.
Dressed in all white, they appreciate God’s divine guidiance, as the year is coming to an end.
The invited men of God, Pastor Lawrence Adetoye and Alhaji Abefe Owagbemi commended the radio station for working within the law over the years.
The General Manager of the station, Martins Ayoola said the programme was organised to show appreciation to God.
He said appreciating God in time like this, is very important, considering what happened in the outgoing year.
He said, “We all know what happened this year. But we are thanking God for his protection and guidance.
“We are also doing this inline with the directive from our headquarters in Lagos. This event is holding in Lagos and Abuja to show appreciating to God”.
Some members of staff of the radio station also spoke on the importance of the programme.
Highpoint of the event was the special recognition given to a member of staff, Jumoke Omotosho for her dedication and commitment to duty, during coverage of the endSARS protests.
The event coincided with her birthday.
