The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ondo State Command has deployed 1,800 Officers and men to provide adequate Security before, during and after the yelutide period.
The State Commnadant of the Corps, Commandant Eweka Edenabu Okoro disclosed this During the Operational briefing in Akure .
He charged the Personnel to be higly professional and shun any form of violation of human rights while discharging their statutory duties.
In a Statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Olufemi Omole, the State Commandant said that 1,800 officers and men were deployed in responce to provision of adequate security in the State.
The statement added , ” We have deployed our men to ensure the Safeguarding of all Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, Crowd and Traffic control, Disaster/Crisis management, Intelligence gathering amongst others.
“The Personnel deployed will cover various Recreation centers, Religious gatherings, Motor parks and all identified crime prone areas”
The commandant said the Command has continually maintained strong collaborations with Sister Security Agencies as a Joint Task Force to comb the entire State and rid her of all Criminal elements.
While encouraging the public to continue to observe all Covid-19 protocols, the Commandant appealed to the civil populace to provide prompt information that would lead to the arrest of criminal minded persons in the State.
He however assured the good people of Ondo State that the Christmas and New Year Season would be Peaceful and Serene.
