Barrister Eniku Enikuomehin, a former aide of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, has backed the governor’s order that unregistered herdsmen should vacate the forest reserves.
Enikuomehin, who was Akeredolu’s Senior Special Assistant on Oil and Gas before he voluntarily resigned, said he supported his former boss on the need for the miscreants who use forest reserves to perpetrate heinious crimes to quit within the time frame he gave them.
He said, “the governor should call the stakeholders in the state for a meeting as urgently as possible.
“The ranting of Garba Shehu should be considered as an inconsequential matter .
“Our forest reserves were not created by previous governments for these murderous souls to perpetrate their dastardly acts.
“The lives and properties of our people should not be lost on the altar of politics. Enough is enough”, Enikuomehin added.
