Pictures of nurses brutalised at FMC Owo as protest rocks hospital


Nurses at the Federal Medical Center, Owo, Ondo state have protested against the assault of two of their colleagues by the relatives of a patient.


The two nurses who  were on duty  on Saturday were seriously brutalised by the daughters of the aged patient.

They pounced on the nurses after the patient gave up the ghost.


But the nurses under the aegis of  Chairman, National Association of Nurses and Midwives, FMC, Owo branch kicked against the molestation of their colleagues by grounding activities at the hospital for several hours.


 Armed with placards with various inscriptions, they marched round the premises of the hospital to vent their anger.


Addressing reporters, the Chairman, National Association of Nurses and Midwives, FMC, Owo described the attack on his colleagues as highly barbaric.


He demanded an unreserved apology from the relatives of the patient identified as  Adelumo Oyinola from Ilara mokin

“We want justice for colleagues brutalised by the relatives of the patient . They must tender an unreserved apologies to them’
