Ondo NMA condemns attack on nurses at FMC Owo, calls for justice

The state executive council (SEC) of the Nigeria Medical Association, Ondo State branch has condemned in strong terms the attack of nurses at the Federal Medical Centre, Owo.

The Association urged the managment of FMC Owo to hasten its investigation and expose those behind the attack.

The union stressed that those involved in the show of shame should be brought to book.

According to a statement issued and signed by the secretary of the union, Dr Olorunfemi Owa and chairman,  Dr Stella Adegbehingbe, the issue should not be swept under the carpet

The statement reads, “The state executive council SEC of NMA Ondo yesterday condemned in strong terms the unacceptable attack on any health workers in Ondo state.

“We urge the management of FMC Owo to hasten her investigation on the bandits and culprits in this show of shame. They should be brought to book”

Relatives of a  patient had last Saturday brutalised  some nurses at the Federal Medical  Center, Owo

This propelled the nurses to protest on Monday to vent their anger against the molestation and brutalisation of their colleagues
