Second Edition of Blitzik sports clinic kicks off in Akure

All is now set for the second edition of Blitzik sports clinic and challenges put together by a member of the sports writer association of Nigeria SWAN Ondo state chapter Isaac Afolabi .

The event which is expected to hold at the indoor hall of the Akure sports complex will beam it search light on Basketball.

The two days clinic/ challenge which is starting on Thursday 11th will end Friday 12th March 2021 is meant to discover and encourage talents in sports and to charge them to embrace sports and education.

According to the organiser of the competition, Isaac Afolabi, who is also a Radio Nigeria positive FM Akure sports journalist,Government alone cannot handle sports hence the need for individuals irrespective of the status and class to also contribute to sports/human development in the country.

Four states are already in Akure for the games and open to talented kids in the state to be trained to stardom.

The states include Ogun,Ekiti,Osun and host Ondo.

Assistant national women basketball team Dtigress coach Aderemi Adewunmi will head the technical sessions.

Trophy,medals and certificate will be awarded to winners and exceptional talents.
