The commander of Ondo state Security Agency Network, Amotekun, Chief Adetunji Adeleye says criminals have an advantage in terms of weapons over security agencies.
Adeleye while reacting to media reports, said the agency is looking forward to acquiring more state of the art equipment to combat insecurity in the state.
According to him, Amotekun in Ondo state stands out in terms of good communication gadget but needs more support to enhance its operations.
He urged the government to remove limitations to the crime bursting responsibility of the corps.
The commander said Amotekun is doing well in terms of remuneration of officers and payment of salary but called for more government support.
On the performance of the corp, a security consultant, Mr Abuh Adams said it is performing beyond expectations hence the need for more support from the government and well meaning Nigerians.
He urged residents to assist the corps on relevant and timely information to curb social vices across the state.
