We can tackle fraudulent practices, corruption collectively- Akeredolu

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Ondo State Command in collaboration with Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) has held a one-Day Seminar to commemorate the International Fraud Awareness Week at the Command Headquarters, Alagbaka Akure.
Speaking at the event, the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Odunayo Akeredolu SAN said the effect of fraudulent practices and corruption in the nation call for a collective and concerted efforts by every citizen.
Akeredolu who was represented his Senior Special Assistant on Security matters, Alhaji Jimoh Dojumo lauded the Ondo Command of the NSCDC for the synergy with sister agencies and it’s commitment to combating criminalities in the State.
He said the nation has witnessed series of challenges such as: internet fraud, cyber Insecurity, hacking, kidnapping, banditry amongst others.
He noted that organizing such a training workshop which focused on Manpower Development for NSCDC Personnel and other Security agencies is laudable
He urged the participants to maximize the opportunity by upgrading their efficiency in fight against corruption, internet scam and other fraudulent practices in the society.
Speaking, the State Commandant of the NSCDC, Hammed Abodunrin said the Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi has made welfare of officers as well as training and re-training of personnel a pivotal mandate.
He said the command will not relent in her efforts at creating enabling environment for officers and men to upscale their skills in different fields from time to time.
He added, “Corruption and Fraudulent practices will ceaselessly have monumental negative effect on an existing system if not promptly stamped out”.
He noted that the best approach to solve a problem is to tackle it from the source with a well defined and an unbiased approach.
