The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, has held a marathon prayer session to seek divine guidance in the chapter’s operations in 2022.
The party also used the event to show appreciation to God for His endless goodness through out last year.
The prayer sessions were cordinated by Special Apostle Charles Akinboye Ajepe, and Alfa Busari for over two hours, at the State Secretariat in Akure.
The State Executive Committee (SEC), political leaders and members of the party praised God with joyous songs in appreciation of His mercy, and prayed for a better attention in the new Year.
The crux of the prayers is for God to grant the State Chapter the strength and grace to foster deeper understanding and unity, to ensure continuity over the affairs of the Sunshine State.
State Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, urged the chapter to seek God’s intervention and guidance in its quest to retain power, and continue to roll out programmes for the wellbeing of our people. “Lord, let your will prevail, that APC will continue to rule Ondo State beyond 2024”, he prayed.
Prayers were also offered for security and peace in Nigeria and Ondo State; divine wisdom for President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, and all political leaders.
Also in attendance were the Deputy State Chairman, Hon. Agabra Atili, Secretary, Hon. Adesina Alaye, Senatorial Chairmen, North and Central, Chief Jacob Oredola, and Hon. Festus Aregbesola; State Treasurer, Deacon Moshood Ishola, Financial Secretary, Chief Olu Akinbohun, Organising Secretary, Sir. Charles Fagbohunka, State Youth Leader, Mr. Ayo Wisdom, and Publicity Secretary, Mr. Alex Kalejaye.
Other leaders included former Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde, former Commissioners, Hon. Idowu Otetubu and Mr. Saka Yusuf Ogunleye, and a former Deputy Chief of Staff, Dr. Jimi Kuffor.
