A new trade union has pulled out of Non-Academic Staff Union of Education and Associated Institutions in polytechnics in Nigeria.
A large portion of members of the Union have moved out to form Non-Teaching Staff of Polytechnics NOTSUP.
Their action followed the registration by the Federal Ministry of labour and Employment, Abuja.
The union pioneer National President is Comrade Shaba Nakorji, from the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger State.
Nakorji said the action was taken to give members good representation and ensure that members welfare is well guaranteed.
He said, “We have moved and we are pleased with our decision which was taken to give our members good representation”, he said.
