SSANU, NASU BEGIN TWO-WEEK WARNING STRIKE

The  Non academic staff across public universities in Nigeria are to embark on a two-week warning strike.

The national bodies of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Education and Associated Institutions declared a two-week warning strike action to commence March 27.

This was contained in a statement signed by the leadership of both unions in Abuja.

The statement reads “In view of the non challant attitude of the Government to our demands, this is to direct our members in all universities and inter-University centres throughout the country to commence a two week warning strike by midnight of Sunday, 27th March, 2022 in the first instance as earlier conveyed to the government through our letter”.

The two unions direct their  members  to ensure the industrial action is comprehensive and total.

This latest development will further paralyse education system in Nigeria due to ongoing strike embarked up by university lecturers
