UNIMEDTH EFFECTS NEW PAY PLAN FOR FRESH EMPLOYEES

The management of the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital Ondo State has revealed the new pay plan for newly employed staff at the hospital.

The Chief Medical Director, Dr Oluwole Ige revealed that medical staff who have recently been employed have been receiving their salaries right from day one of assumption of duty.

He spoke with the media team of the university led by Akinjide Oluwatope, Head, Media and Publicity, UNIMED Teaching Hospital, Ondo.

According to him, the new policy was put in place to encourage medical personnel to be committed and dedicated to work.

Ige added that the state governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu is committed to ensuring wholesome healthcare for the good people of Ondo State and Nigeria in general.

By this measure, he said a number of doctors, nurses and other healthcare staff have already begun to enjoy regular remuneration.

He further encouraged fresh graduates seeking internship to apply as all suitably qualified candidates will be engaged.

Ige said, “Post NYSC healthcare workers and others have been reassured by the new policy which has been in effect this year that they will not be owed any arrears.

“We are committed to this and we will continue to prioritise the welfare of our workers”
