The Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Prof Olugbenga Ige has congratulated the newly-elected Executive members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State Council, on their emergence at the just-concluded election of the Council.
Ige urged the new NUJ leadership to render enviable and purposeful leadership and services to the Union and the people of Ondo State.
The university don also expressed optimism that the new members of Executive, under the Chairmanship of Prince Leke Adegbite, would justify the confidence reposed in them.
According to him, no doubt, your emergence is not unconnected with your antecedents within the Fourth Estate of the realm.
“As a University, we are confident that the new Members of Executive, under the Chairmanship of Prince Leke Adegbite, would justify the confidence reposed in them by their colleagues by providing enviable and purposeful leadership and services to the Union and the people of Ondo State.
“We are also hoping that the new leadership of the Union will continue to uphold the ethics of the noble profession and take the Council to an enviable height.
