The Board of Ondo State Football Association has inaugurated the organising committee for Ondo State Football league which has Gaming Company, Bet9ja as its headline sponsor.
This was reached at the end of the board meeting presided over by the Chairman of the Association, Otunba Dele-Ajayi, which held on Tuesday in Akure.
The inauguration, was part of the commitment to engender development of the round leather game in the state, especially, at the grassroots level.
The committee was saddled with responsibility of organising a comprehensive football competition, among young people in all 18 local government areas of the State.
The board urged the members of the committee to commence work immediately to bring the league to reality.
The committee members are:
(1) Mr Yomi Seriki – Chairman
(2) Mr Charles Ogunyomodi – Vice Chairman
(3 Mr Sunday Aladenika – Chief Operating Officer
(4) Mr Babatunde Igbasan
(5) Coach Akin Olowokere
Mr Akintoye Tomide, from the office of the FA Secretary would service as administrative assistant while the Media officer of the Ondo State Football Association, Mr Giwa would head the Communications desk of the league.
The Board also recommended three Board members from each of the Senatorial districts of the state to supervise the League Organising body and report to the Executive Board periodically. The Board members selected are:
(1) Apostles Patani Samuel ( South)
(2) Mr Aborowa Gabriel ( North)
(3) Dr. Babatunde Akinbinu (Central)
