Segun Akinwande Joins Ondo West Constituency 1 Assembly Race
A member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Segun Akinwande has declared his intention to represent the people of Ondo Constituency 1 in the state House of Assembly.
Akinwande declared his intention to contest at the party secretariat amid pomp and ceremony.
He said Ondo West Constituency 1 deserves a person with the required level of competence, selflessness, and compassion who will do all it takes to protect the interest of the people at state level.
His supporters from the local government trooped out in large numbers to give support to his ambition.
Declaring his intention to run, Akinwande said he is offering himself as an instrument of divine change in the constituency.
He added that he is determined to give the kind of representation that will improve the living standard of the people just he vowed to facilitate job opportunities for the youths and soft loans to boost the businesses of women in the constituency.
When asked about the astronomical increase in the price of party forms, which has discouraged many youths from vying for political positions, he explained that every party has its principles which members must key into and that APC is no exemption.
Vice chairman of Ward 11 in Ondo West Local Government, Prince Adebi Adewole which is also the Ward of the aspirant, said Seun Akinwande has the capacity to run, having spearheaded some reforms not only in the ward but in Ondo West.
Some supporters including Shadera Opeyemi and Dele Kayode said Akinwande who has demonstrated good intentions to represent Ondo West Constituency 1, pledged their support to make his aspiration come true.
