Ondo APC Youths Hold Parley, Canvass For More Inclusion in Governance

Youths in the central senatorial district of Ondo State under the umbrella of “Progressive Youths” have called for more youth participation and inclusion in party politics and government.

They also stressed that  youths active involvement in politics is the only way to ensure a secured future for the country.

The youths, led by the state youth leader of the party in the state, Comrade Ayo Olawande Wisdom, expressed their resolve to remain focused and committed to the progress and interest of the APC ahead of the party’s primaries.

The APC Youth Leader spoke at the general discussion summit organized by the APC Youth wing in Ondo State held at SITA on Saturday.

The summit was to foster and improve the political orientation of youths in the senatorial district and also incorporate the young women’s forum to ensure cohesion among the various youth-oriented groups in the senatorial district and entire state.

Olawande admonished the youths in the State to remain devoted and committed to the party leadership.

He stated that youths must show a level of readiness and zeal towards the development of the senatorial district so as to convince the party leadership that young people can be trusted with leadership positions.

“We must incorporate, encourage more youths and also bestow key responsibilities on us not forgetting women who over the years have been on the back foot as far as politics is concerned in Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole.” He said.

Speaking at the Summit, the state chairman of the party, Engr. Ade Adetimehin ably represented by the Organizing Secretary of the party, Charles Fagbohunka advised youth leaders to remain focused ahead of the primary elections, noting that all hands must be on deck to encourage more youths to venture into politics.

“Working around the party and ensuring that the party moves on. I want to advise the youth to come up better and do things by mobilizing at every ward so that the success will be for us” The Chairman said.

Central Senatorial youth leader; Seun Osamaye, National Rep Progressive Young woman forum; Temitope Iwakun,State Rep  Progressive Young Women Forum,  All Ward and Local Government Youth Leaders, as well as State Youth Excos and Stakeholders.

The General Discussion will continue at the Southern and Northern senatorial districts of the state on the 8th and 9th respectively.
