Architect Gbenga Kolawole has won the PDP primary ticket for Akoko south west and east federal constituency.
Kolawole was declared winner by electoral returning officer Egunjobi Tayo.
Kolawole polled 43 votes to defeat his closest rival, Adejoro Ifelayo who 30 votes.
Aponbiewe Felix scored 5 votes in the contest.
A total number of 80 delegates from the two local governments in the federal constituency participated in the election.
The exercise which took place at Oka Akoko Town hall, headquarters of Akoko south west was peaceful as security personnel were on ground.
Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to monitor the primary election.
