Olowa Of Igbaraoke Commends Akeredolu For Upgrading Monarchs, Says Elevation Least Expected
The Olowa of Igbaraoke, Oba Adefarkanmi Agbede has commended governor Rotimi Akeredolu for elevating some monarchs to different grades
Oba Agbede is one of the monarchs recently upgraded to first class status in the state
Speaking with reporters after the monthly meeting of traditional rulers in the state, Oba Agbede noted that the elevation came to them when they least expected.
He added, “The Governor whom I will call an Emeritus SAN, is a man of integrity. He is a man that knows the law, and his government has been one of the governments that the Obas enjoy most. This elevation came as a surprise to us.
“This governor has been a governor that we should all continue to support in everything. In all ramifications, he has done very well. When you talk about infrastructure he is there, when you talk about Security Mr Governor is doing well, when you talk about development he is there. When you talk about somebody who has the interest of the state at heart Mr Governor is there.
“He is not a governor who will come and make money and go. I can say it anywhere any day, anytime, and I’m proud of him. He has done the Obas proud. We have been expecting this upgrading for so long.
“We have not had it so good until the present administration under Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN. We appreciate him. He brought ‘D’ to ‘C’ and cancelled all D in the state. This has never happened before. Some Obas who have been on ‘C’ he promoted them to ‘B’ and ‘B’ promoted to ‘A’. What else do you want again? We are all grateful to God and the governor.”
