Ondo Federal Lawmwker, Lawson Alade, trains, empowers 85 persons in fish farming

A total of 85 persons from Akure North and South Local government areas of Ondo state have been trained in modern fish farming methods.
The beneficiaries which are made up of young persons and the elderly benefited from the 5- day empowerment programme.
The programme was facilitated by the Honourable member representing Akure North & South Federal Constituenc, Hon. Mayokun Lawson-Alade otherwise known as “LAF”
The Programme was organised by Federal College of Fisheries &Marine Technology in Lagos in conjunction with a consultant Coraggio Nigeria Limited.
The beneficiaries received training on how to raise fish to table size for commercial earnings and be employers of labour.
Speaking at the event, the federal lawmaker, said the training was part of his efforts to take youths from his federal constituency out of the labour market.
The lawmaker who was represented by his chief of staff, Adedapo Alade, said the programme would make participants self reliance and employers of labour
He said, “I am passionate about my people, I want to take as many as possible out of the labour market”.
Hon Alade promised that more impactful programmes will be provided for the people of his constituents before the year runs out.
At the end of the 5-day programme, participants were empowered with fish tanks, bags of fish feeds, juvenile size of fishes among other items
