New executive members of the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN) Ondo state Government Hospital’s Chapter have been sworn in to pilot the affairs of the union.
The swearing in ceremony was held shortly after the annual general meeting and 9th scientific conference of the association held at the Nigeria medical association house in Akure.
The immediate past vice chairman of MDCAN Dr, Ramon Sunday Omotayo emerged as the state chairman of the association while Dr. Ayodele Stephen Adewole is the new secretary.
Other members of the new executives are :Dr Ayodeji Ogedengbe, Treasurer, Dr Omolola Abebukola Olubosede, Ex- officio 1 and Dr Adewale Ayadi is ex- official 11.
In his acceptance speech, the new chairman promised to bring rapid development to the association.
Omotayo said special attention would be given to the welfare of members and ensure that they get their entitlements on time.
He said, ” I am going to do my best with the support of other executive members to bring rapid development to MDCAN.
“The welfare of members will be given special attention and we will ensure we do everything to protect the interest of our members”
