A member of the House of Representatives, representing Ondo East/Ondo West Federal Constituency, Hon. Abiola Makinde Ph.D has reiterated his commitment to driving the quality of education in his constituency.
He stated this at the inaugurating and handing over of completed blocks for both primary and secondary schools in Ajangbale community, Oka,Ondo.
Unveiling the projects, Hon. Makinde stated that the essence of this is to create a platform where pupils can learn in a conducive environment and develop knowledge that will enhance their education pursuit.
He education as the bedrock of national development, the Federal Lawmaker stated that the educational advancement of the constituency remains an integral part of his WEALTH campaign.
He also revealed that his led administration recently facilitated the renovation of the road leading to the school. He also added that he would continue to provide the much needed intervention to ensure that the level of education in the constituency is raised.
Also while speaking at the event, Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Hon. Victor Olabimtan thanked the legislator for his commitment to the expansion of basic education.
He also stated that he hopes other politicians take a cue from his love for education, while also adding that he would ensure that he presents the schools to the Executive Governor of the state, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.SAN.
Also present at the occasion were, Mrs. G. O Ilori, who represented the Hon. Commissioner for Education; HRH, Olojo of Oka, Oba Adegoju; Barr. Bada Marruf and the Ondo West Local Government Chairman, Hon Ebenezer Akinsulire, who was presented by his vice, Folajimi Akintunde and many other educational stakeholders in Ondo West.
