An All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart and a philanthropist of note, Michael Akintomide Ajilo has congratulated the APC candidates that participated in the House of Assembly elections in Ondo kingdom.
The three candidates Hon. Oladiji Landmark (Ondo East), Otunba Moyinolorun Taiwo Ogunwumiju (Ondo West constituency 1), and Hon. Biola Oladapo( Ondo West constituency 2) won house of assembly seats
In a statement made available through his media office, Ajilo reiterated that the love the people have for the APC was re-echoed through the ballot.
He also appreciated the fact that the party assembled the very best candidates for the various positions and constituencies.
“I am so glad to receive the news of the very resounding victory of our great party at the House of Assembly poll. This is indeed a testimony to the love that the people of Ondo kingdom have for our party, having held sway for a while and performed excellently well.”
“I must also appreciate the leaders and stakeholders of our great party for giving credence to merit over political patronage in selecting candidates for the various constituencies, and this has paid off going by the massive votes for the candidates.”
“To my brothers that have been given the mandate to represent the people at the state assembly, I admonish you to hit the ground running and leave no stone unturned in your official duty of law-making and over-sight function to the benefit of the populace.”
He wished them well in their new capacities and assured the populace of the manifestation of the dividends of democracy in not-too-distant time.
