Hoodlums Kill 80- Year – Old Woman Inside Farm In Ondo

Some hoodlums have killed an 80-year-old woman inside her farm at Costain area in Ore, Odigbo local government area of Ondo state.

The unfortunate Incident which occurred during the week has since  thrown the people of Costain area of Ore into confusion.

The Octogenarian , it was gathered had been reported missing in the community since last Wednesday after she had left for farm and did not return.

Eyewitness told newsmen that the people of the community suspected that the old woman was raped to death based on the position her corpse was found in the farm.

According to the eyewitness, there had been cases of rape in the community in  recent time as many women could no longer go to farm alone.

It was gathered that a suspect known as Sunday, the palm wine tapper, has been arrested by some youths in the community after the mobile phone of the old woman was found in his pocket.

It was also gathered that during interrogation, the suspect alleged that some fulani herdsmen killed the woman.

The suspect has however been handed over to the police at Costain community.

The police public relations officer Funmi Odunlami told our reporter that she would get back for details,but has not gotten back as of press time.
