Why we established Noble Hills High School in Akure – MD

A new Secondary school,  Noble Hills High School has been established in Akure, the Ondo state capital.

Noble Hills High School with state of the art facilities is expected to  take off with the new academic session in September.

While unveiling her vision to stakeholders at the official opening of Noble Hills High School in Akure, Mrs Titilayo Asaolu, the Managing Director of Tofas Model School  said the school was established to change  the narratives in the education sector.

Asaolu noted that  many schools focused attention on academic excellence with little or no concentration on good morals.

She said  the major cause of moral decadence among youths is negligence on the part of most secondary school managements.

Asaolu said, “Every child’s mind is plain at the beginning, especially before puberty stage. It is due to negative peer pressure, especially from senior students (which keeps transitioning form generation to generation) and the feeling freedom to behave at will that’s are responsible for this decadence”.

She stressed that the idea of establishing Noble Hills High School was borne out I’d passion to reduce and if possible, eradicate moral decadence among secondary school students and the society at large.

“If we are determined, I strongly believe it is still.possible for us to raise an army of noble personalities that will do things differently and decently in our society society”.

“Since this society decadence spreads fast among peer groups, children are easily influenced by seniors, Noble Hills High School will be admitting students into JSS1 only, they will keep promoting to Senior classes and become good role models for their juniors coming into JSS1 subsequently”.

She added the school had also made provisions extra curriculum activities such as vocational studies,  music, jets club, bible club, sports, among others.

Elder Ayodele Smart, the grand patron of the school, opined that the birth of Noble Hills High School was a welcome development.

Smart said, “We are aware of the moral decadence in our society today and she’s trying to make her own impact on how to eradicate it. I believe others will join her to eliminate moras decadence, it is the cause of the challenges we are facing in this country”.

“One of the things this country should address is the importance given to certificate. It is not the certificate that is more important, it is what makes the certificate. We worship certificate in this country as if it’s the final. It is not the certificate that matters, it is what is expected of a normal human being”.

“Government cannot do more than what has to be done, thank God we have private schools in this country, if there are not, the situation of the country would have been terrible by now. We might not be able to move freely in this country again because of the level of moral decadence”.

Another stakeholders, Mrs Tayelolu described the birth of Noble Hills High School as a grand innovation, imploring parents to key into the vision.

She said, “A sound morality, a healthy sense of spiritual awakening are major prerequisites towards grooming an upwardly mobile child”.

“The standard of education in our country is plummeting, I want to implore the government to put in more intentional efforts into supervision. The standard of teachers we have now cannot be compared to what we used to have”.

“The negligence and non challance of government personnel must be checked, so that we can  have teachers who truly works”.
