Ondo Sports Commissioner Charges SWAN on Unity, says Sunshine Stars ready for 2023/24 season

The Ondo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Bamidele Ologunloluwa, says Sunshine Stars is well prepared ahead of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

 

He added that efforts to fortify the team with quality players is currently on going, saying, the team is ready and the government is satisfied with their preparation.

 

Ologunloluwa stated this while congratulating the newly Inaugurated members of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ondo State Chapter’s Executives who paid him courtesy visit in his office.

 

“We have recruited good players, we have done the needful and we believe in the calibre of players we have signed,” he said.

 

Ologunloluwa, while admonishing the new SWAN executive to unite all stakeholders, said everybody’s idea will be needed to move the association to the highest level.

 

“I have no doubt in my mind that the current executive will perform creditably well in term of propagating sports related activities in the state.

 

Earlier, the SWAN Chairman, Segun Giwa acknowledged the support of the ministry of sports and the commissioner in ensuring peace and stability reigned amongst the sports writers in the state.

 

Giwa said the association will sustain the already healthy relationship with the sports ministry in the development of grassroots sports.

 

“We are ready to work with all sports stakeholders to contribute to the development of sports in Ondo State,” he said.
